Madai Measure, Measured by Yah; Son of Japheth; Father of the Medes; Media consisted of six tribes; Most references to the Medes occurs in the Book of Esther when the Kingdom of the Medes was at its peak. Forty-four percent of the world's population belonged to it. The Medes were conquered by Alexander the Great.Medes were still in existance in the first century and are mentioned by Luke (Acts 2:9). Mamre Lusty (in the sense of vigor), Strength or Fatness, From Seeing, Adversity, From Being Well Fed; An Amoritish chief in alliance with Abraham (Genesis 14:13, 24). (2) The place near Hebron where Abraham lived (Genesis 23:17, 19; 35:27). It is identified with an "oak grove" or "wood of Mamre," named after Abraham's ally. It is associated with Machpelah. The site of Mamre is identified with "the oak of rest", where there is a tree called "Abraham's oak," about a mile and a half west of Hebron. Others suggest er-Rameh, 2 miles north of Hebron. (3) A place near Abraham' s burial place, identified with Hebron.
Mehujael Smitten by God, Destroyed Of God; the son of Irad and the father of Methushael (Genesis 4:18), great-grandson of Cain; also called Mehijael
Mesha I Retreat; A port city on the Red Sea on the border of the territory of the sons of Joktan (Genesis 10:30); (2) Benjaminite, a son of Shaharaim and Hodesh, of Benjamin (1 Chronicles 8:9). From the Hebrew mysh, to depart or remove.
Mesha II Saving, Salvation; The first born son of Caleb (1 Chronicles 2:42); (2) A king of Moab in league with King Ahab of Israel. This relationship did not continue under Ahab's son Jehoram (2 Kings 3:4-5). Mesha lost a battle with King Jehoram and King Jehoshaphat of Judah. He sacrificed his son and heir as a burnt offering (2 Kings 3:27). From the Hebrew yasha', to be saved or delivered.

Milcah Queen, Counsel; The niece and wife of Nahor (Genesis 11:29, 22:20), Sister of Iscah, daughter of Haran, the brother of Nahor and Abraham. (2) One of five daughters of Zelophehad, descendant of Manasseh; Her sisters are Mahlah, Noah, Hoglah, and Tirzah. On her father's death without male heirs, Milcah and her four sisters came before Moses and Eleazar to claim the inheritance of their father in the tribe of Manasseh. The claim was admitted by divine direction. (Numbers 26:33; 27:1-11)
Mizraim Double Siege or Distress; Son of Ham. Grandson of Noah. (Genesis 12:10) Egypt. Also called the land of Ham. (Psalm 105:23) Ancestor of the Ludites, Anamites, Lehabites, Naphituhites, Pathrusites, Casluhites, Caphtorites (Philistines)

Moreh Early Rain, Teacher, Archers; A place near Shechem, known as Oak (Of) Moreh where Abram built an altar (Genesis 12:6). Jacob buried there the foreign gods his family had brought from Haran (Genesis 35:4) The oaks (plural) of Moreh are mentioned in Deuteronomy 11:26-32, where the Lord sets before Israel a blessing (Mount Gerizim) and a curse (Mount Ebal), beside the Oaks Of Moreh (Deuteronomy 11:30; (2) A hill in the valley of Jezreel, where the Midianites camped just prior to being defeated by Gideon and his 300 men (Judges 7:1, see 6:33), in territory of Issachar.
